The Democratic Party of Korea’s floor leader, Park Chan-dae, criticized the Yoon Suk-yeol administration for trying to cut off the tail even though it is not a lizard with regards to the suspicion surrounding Kim Geon-hee’s luxury handbag procurement.
During the party’s strategy meeting, Park explained that he was instructed by Kim to return the luxury handbag received from Pastor Choi Jae-young, but he forgot and reported it to the prosecution as if he had forgotten.
Park further pointed out that if this statement is true, it implies that the presidential office’s discipline is in disarray to the extent that it would overlook the instructions of the president’s wife, and that all explanations given by the president so far would be lies.
He also criticized the idea that one could evade responsibility through excuses, evasion, and tail-cutting by appointing a representative, emphasizing that Kim should personally provide an explanation.
