**”Beaten by Yoon Couple and Swayed by Pro-Yoon, Wasting Time…Decisive Action Needed”**
Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, addressed People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon on the 28th, urging, “If you claim to be a true conservative party and value the public’s perspective, don’t make excuses and accept a parliamentary investigation according to public sentiment.”
During a policy coordination meeting at the National Assembly, Park stated, “If you don’t keep the promises you made yourself, the public will consider Han a liar.”
He added, “While the Democratic Party submitted a list of 10 members for the special committee on the parliamentary investigation yesterday, the People Power Party is rejecting both the special counsel and the parliamentary investigation. If Han’s bold claim to propose a special counsel bill on Private Chae’s case upon becoming party leader wasn’t a blatant lie, then there’s no reason not to accept the investigation.”
Park continued, “How long will you be beaten by the president and his wife and swayed by pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Seok-yeol) influences, wasting time? It is precisely in such times that quick and decisive actions must be taken to demonstrate something to the public, leading to a brighter future for Han as well.”
He emphasized, “The Democratic Party will uncover the truth of Private Chae’s case through a parliamentary investigation and ensure that those responsible face severe consequences.”
Park also mentioned, “Today in the plenary session, we plan to handle various people’s livelihood bills, including the Grain Management Act for rice price stabilization, increasing the deposit protection limit to 100 million won, the Elder Welfare Act to provide lunch five days a week, and the repeal of the Mobile Device Distribution Act.”
Furthermore, he stated, “We will do our best to ensure that the special prosecution act for First Lady Kim Keon-hee passes in the re-vote on the 10th of next month and that the impeachment of prosecutors who granted impunity in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, despite overwhelming evidence, is pursued.”
