North Korea Criticizes US-South Korea Fact Sheet as “Confrontational Scheme… Will Take Countermeasures”

North Korea has stated that, given the officialization of confrontational intentions between the United States and South Korea through their fact sheet release and joint statement from the Security Consultative Meeting, they will take realistic countermeasures.

Through a commentary from the Korean Central News Agency, North Korea criticized the U.S. for affirming complete denuclearization with South Korea, claiming it is an expression of the confrontational intent to invalidate North Korea’s constitution.

North Korea also argued that South Korea’s possession of nuclear submarines is a stepping stone towards nuclear armament, leading to a nuclear domino effect and triggering an intense arms race.
