Lee Jun-seok says, “Releasing more on Myung Tae-kyun? I’ve seen some things too; there is much more to come.”

Reform Party legislator Lee Jun-seok was seen questioning at a National Assembly inspection meeting held at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon on the 17th. Yonhap News reported this.

In relation to Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the ‘Kim Kun-hee Nomination Intervention Allegations’ who has hinted at releasing additional screengrabs, claiming to have 2,000 of them, Lee stated, “I’ve seen some things. There’s a lot more to come.”

Appearing on MBN’s “Sisa Special – Jung Woon-gap’s In-Depth Analysis” on the 20th, Lee remarked, “Even if they are official conversations, you don’t get 2,000 pages. Myung talked about various things.”

Lee urged members of the People Power Party to be candid regarding the ongoing controversy involving Myung. He confirmed that Myung approached him during the party convention elections, which occurred during COVID-19, hence involving no manpower and only debates and speeches. “Thus, there was no way Myung could have helped me, nor did I receive help,” he explained.

Additionally, Lee distanced himself from Kim Kun-hee’s brother. Previously, Kim mentioned “oppa” (a term for older brother) and a KakaoTalk message where Myung stated, “You’ll get an accurate answer when you meet Jun-seok tomorrow” was revealed. The presidential office had clarified “oppa” as “her brother.”

Lee rebutted, “I’ve never even exchanged names or spoken with Kim Jin-woo, her brother. I don’t understand why meeting me would resolve everything,” arguing that it doesn’t fit the situation.

He also stated, “President Yoon Seok-yeol should have acknowledged giving Myung any role and then responded, but by accusing him of being a scammer, it’s only natural Myung feels compelled to prove himself. It seems the presidential office handled it in a way that led to failure.”

Regarding the prosecution’s decision to dismiss allegations of Kim Kun-hee’s involvement in the “Deutsch Motors Stock Manipulation Case,” Lee criticized it as “obviously questionable,” suggesting it’s hard to believe she had no involvement when accomplices were penalized.

Furthermore, Lee likened People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon to “a non-drinking Yoon Seok-yeol,” noting that Han’s political assets were entirely crafted by President Yoon, who shaped him into a young minister of justice and interim leader. Thus, despite any attempts by Han to differentiate himself, Lee claimed they remain fundamentally similar.
