Jang Dong-hyuk on Choo Kyung-ho’s warrant dismissal: “The people have overcome dictatorship… an order to abandon inciting rebellion”

The leader of the People Power Party, Jang Dong-hyuk, emphasized that the people overcame dictatorship in light of the dismissal of the arrest warrant for former floor leader Choo Kyung-ho, confirming that the rule of law is alive in South Korea.

In a statement today (3rd), Jang noted that the judiciary of the Republic of Korea courageously and justly halted the political special investigation, expressing his view on the matter.

He further implied that it is an order from the people to halt political retaliation and to abandon framing situations as insurrection, marking a day to put an end to the dark past of military rule and impeachment, and to start a new future.

Jang also warned that if the unconstitutional, anti-democratic framing of insurrection continues, the people will remove the government. He added that, together with the people, they will end the dictatorship and oppression of the Lee Jae-myung regime and the Democratic Party, paving a new path for liberal democracy.
