Acting President Han sends congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister: “Development of close partnership between the two countries”

Deputy Prime Minister Han Duck-soo sent a congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on the victory of the Canadian Liberal Party in the recent general elections. Han expressed his sincere congratulations on the election results in the message dated the 29th.

In his message, Han stated, “Korea and Canada have developed a close partnership based on shared values over the past 60 years.” He further noted, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Korea-Canada FTA, a symbol of our mutual prosperity. Additionally, both nations will serve as host nations for APEC and the G7, presenting a special opportunity for cooperation in the international community. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration as comprehensive strategic partners.”

Han concluded the message by wishing for Prime Minister Carney’s well-being and Canada’s continued progress.
