Tomorrow, there will be rain and wind nationwide… Possibility of ‘extreme heavy rain’ in the mountainous areas of Jeju [Weather]

“Tomorrow (26th), rain is expected to expand across the country, with heavy and significant rainfall predicted, particularly in Jeju Island and the southern coastal regions.”

“The Korea Meteorological Administration has announced that, due to the influx of a large amount of moisture influenced by a low-pressure system approaching from the southwest, rain will fall nationwide. Strong rain, at a heavy rain advisory level, is expected in the southern regions.”

“Jeju’s mountainous areas may see more than 300mm of rain, while more than 200mm is expected along the southern coast. Southern inland areas could receive up to 100mm of rain.”

“In the central regions, including the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, and Chungcheong, 30 to 80mm of rain is anticipated.”

“Particular caution is advised as Jeju’s mountainous areas may experience extreme downpours of 50-80mm per hour, with the southern coast and southern inland areas potentially seeing intense precipitation of 30-50mm per hour.”

“Rain will gradually stop from the west in the morning the day after tomorrow, although some areas on the east coast may continue to see rain until the afternoon.”
