The “Love Chapter” exhibition, featuring K-drama content experiences, opens at Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae.

The exhibition is running until November 30th. On the 5th, at the Media Art Room in Cheong Wa Dae’s Sarangchae in Jongno-gu, Seoul, a large screen lit up, signaling the start of an exciting 3D media art display, prompting exclamations of “Wow!” from the audience. Among them were about 30 influencers from the Asia-Pacific region who love K-dramas and had visited Korea courtesy of TikTok Korea, participating in the opening ceremony of the K-drama exhibition at Cheong Wa Dae’s Sarangchae.

Through the media art, these influencers were thrilled to see scenes like Ulsan’s Nasa Beach, the filming location of “This Life, Again,” and Sangjoo’s Maekmundongsoll Forest from “Diva of the Deserted Island,” vividly brought to the screen, capturing videos of the display and taking selfies with the large media art as the backdrop.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are hosting the “K-Drama, Love Chapter” exhibition at the first-floor exhibition room of Cheong Wa Dae’s Sarangchae until November 30th. The exhibition, themed around love, a core emotion in Korean dramas, is subtitled “Moments of Love in Dramas Bloom Again.” It combines drama content with the latest media technology, offering a new Hallyu (Korean Wave) tourism experience through K-dramas for both domestic and international visitors.

The exhibition is designed to take visitors through a narrative of love from within dramas via an immersive audiovisual experience. Upon entering the lobby, visitors are drawn to 390 fabric-hanging photographs suspended from the ceiling, showcasing stills from popular K-dramas.

In the 3D Media Art Room, visitors can enjoy the filming locations and original soundtracks (OST) of dramas, while the Travel Library space features glass prism columns displaying highlight scenes from dramas like “You Have Fallen for Me” and “Crash Landing on You.”

The exhibition is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays, without requiring reservations, and remains open on public holidays. Kim Nam-cheon, Director of the Tourism Content Department of the Korea Tourism Organization, expressed hope that the K-drama exhibition space enhances the memories of foreign tourists and provides a reason for them to revisit Korea, as approximately 38% of international tourists visit Korea inspired by Hallyu content.
