MINI Korea has announced the official launch of the new MINI Cooper C 5-Door in the domestic market on the 25th, a model that combines the styling of the new MINI Cooper with spaciousness. Compared to the 3-door model, the MINI Cooper 5-Door features a wheelbase that is 70mm longer, providing a more expansive interior. It also offers improved second-row comfort and a trunk space that expands from a base of 275 liters to a maximum of 925 liters.
The new MINI Cooper C 5-Door is available in two trims: ‘Essential’ and ‘Classic’. The Essential trim offers a basic model with key features and specifications. The exterior is finished in body color for the roof and side mirror caps to provide a unified look, along with a black-outlined radiator grille and 17-inch gray lightweight aluminum alloy wheels for a clean style. The interior features thermoplastic olefin (TPO) for the dashboard and door trim, providing durability, along with fabric sport seats and a 2-spoke steering wheel.
The Classic trim emphasizes luxury with enhanced convenience. The exterior contrasts with the body color by using white for the roof and side mirror caps, along with 17-inch two-tone lightweight aluminum alloy wheels. The interior features recycled fabric trim for a warm feel, faux leather, and fabric sport seats, and a 3-spoke sport steering wheel with a fabric strap. Additionally, a panoramic glass sunroof and remote engine start function are standard.
At the center of the dashboard in the new MINI Cooper C 5-Door is a circular 240mm OLED display developed in collaboration with Samsung Display. It is equipped with the latest operating system, MINI Operating System 9, which includes a T-map-based Korean MINI navigation system for real-time traffic and map information. If subscribed to the MINI Connected package, it supports useful third-party apps such as YouTube, Melon, and Spotify.
The new MINI Cooper C 5-Door comes with a MINI TwinPower Turbo inline four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 163 horsepower and maximum torque of 25.5 kg·m, paired with a 7-speed Steptronic double-clutch transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds and features front single-joint spring strut and rear multi-link suspension.
The model also comes standard with a range of advanced driver assistance systems, including front and rear collision warnings, lane departure warnings, and exit warning functions included in the driving assistant package. Additionally, a parking assistant that helps with parking and a reversing assistant that assists with steering while reversing up to 50m are part of the parking assistant package.
