“Korean Fine Dining Goes Global” … Collaboration Between Paradise and Chef Kang Min-goo

Paradise Group has entered into an agreement with Chef Kang Min-gu of “Mingles,” the only Michelin 3-star restaurant in Korea, to elevate Korean fine dining to a global gastronomic level. On the 12th, it was announced that Choi Jong-hwan, CEO of Paradise, and Chef Kang met at the Paradise Building in Toegye-ro, Seoul, on the 9th, promising multi-faceted investment and cooperation to enhance the competitiveness of Korean fine dining.

Through this consulting contract, both sides plan to share their philosophies and know-how to elevate domestic dining culture. They will also pursue long-term projects, such as diverse research activities on Korean ingredients and talent cultivation and network activation.

In July, Paradise Group plans to construct the “Paradise R&D (Research & Development) Center,” an F&B platform in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The aim is to enhance the level of domestic F&B by leveraging Mingles’ fine dining expertise and ingredient research.

Chef Kang will be responsible for kitchen design, operational technology transfer, new menu development, and quality control consulting at the center. Paradise will focus on talent cultivation, requiring long-term investment, research on seasonal ingredients, and operating networks to promote culinary culture.

For the premium luxury hotel restaurant slated to open in Jangchung-dong in 2028, there are plans to integrate the philosophies of Chef Kang and Paradise Group to spread Korean cuisine’s unique ingredients and cooking methods worldwide.

CEO Choi expressed his commitment by stating, “We will create a platform where the philosophy of Chef Kang Min-gu’s Korean cuisine is fused with Paradise Group’s F&B vision to introduce the dignity of Korean food to the world and provide a space for our future generations to pursue their dreams freely. We are also actively considering a long-term support system to ensure the R&D center becomes a strong foundation.”
