“K-Beauty Town” Offers 5 Major Beauty Experiences
Over 520 Companies Participating in Makeup, Fashion, etc. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) announced on the 17th that it will host the “2025 Korea Beauty Festival” in collaboration with the Visit Korea Committee and the Korea Tourism Organization.
Jang Mi-ran, the Second Vice Minister of the MCST, is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on the 19th to mark the beginning of the festival.
The slogan for this year’s event, “NEW ME·미·美,” aims to introduce the concept of “finding your own new beauty through K-Beauty” to foreigners. The event is targeted at foreigners and will run from the 19th of this month to the 18th of next month.
The MCST explained that the “K-Beauty Town,” where participants can experience hair, makeup, fashion, medical, and wellness tourism content, will be held from the 19th to the 22nd at the indoor and outdoor art halls and the Open Plaza around DDP.
In Art Hall 2, various experience zones will be arranged, offering personalized color analysis and creating your own fashion items. On the opening day, a one-on-one business consultation session with 87 international buyers and content creators from 11 countries will be held in the conference hall to support the overseas expansion of K-Beauty products.
On the 20th and 21st, a hair show and fashion show featuring famous hair and makeup artists and local fashion designer brands will take place on an outdoor special stage.
The 520 participating companies and organizations will provide benefits such as discounts on products and services and giveaways to foreign tourists visiting the event.
Seven airlines, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Jeju Air, will offer discounts of up to 88% on major route tickets. Hotels like Hotel Shilla, Shilla Stay, and The Plaza will sell rooms at up to 10% off and provide K-beauty souvenirs.
Vice Minister Jang stated, “The ‘Korea Beauty Festival’ will become a global K-Beauty tourism hub where visitors can directly see, feel, and experience everything about ‘K-Beauty,’ which the world is passionate about.” She added, “I hope that foreign tourists visiting Korea will discover their ‘new beauty’ through ‘K-Beauty’ and create fond memories and experiences along that journey.”
