Hyundai Launches ‘2025 Kona’: “Increased Appeal with Enhanced Features and Reasonable Pricing”

Hyundai’s representative compact SUV will start sales from the 23rd, featuring customer-preferred convenience and safety features as a standard in the new “H-Pick” trim based on the Modern Plus.

[Herald Economy = Yang Dae-geun] Hyundai Motor Company announced that it will launch its enhanced compact SUV, the ‘2025 Kona’, and begin full-scale sales on the 23rd.

The 2025 Kona is characterized by the introduction of a new ‘H-Pick’ trim, which includes the most preferred features by major customers, while strengthening basic convenience features for each trim and minimizing price increases to enhance overall competitiveness.

The H-Pick trim is evaluated to enhance customer satisfaction by standardizing safety and convenience features such as blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, safe exit warning, and roof racks, based on the existing ‘Modern Plus’ trim.

Hyundai has frozen the sales price of the basic ‘Modern’ trim of the 2025 Kona, and despite strengthening other trims’ product features, price increases have been minimized to enhance overall product competitiveness.

The ‘Premium’ trim includes features such as a smart power tailgate, wireless smartphone charging, Digital Key 2 Touch, touch-type outside door handles, door pocket lighting (first row), blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and safe exit warning as standard. The highest trim, ‘Inspiration’, has improved interior materials such as door trims and open trays for a more luxurious feel.

Additionally, package items such as ‘Parking Assist’ and ‘Convenience’, which were mainly available for higher trims, have been expanded to the H-Pick trim, offering customers a variety of options.

Sales prices for the gasoline 1.6 turbo model by trim are 24.78 million won for Modern, 25.59 million won for H-Pick, 28.21 million won for Premium, and 31.02 million won for Inspiration. For the gasoline 2.0 model, the prices are 24.09 million won for Modern, 24.99 million won for H-Pick, 27.53 million won for Premium, and 30.34 million won for Inspiration.

The 1.6 turbo hybrid model is priced at 29.55 million won for Modern, 30.46 million won for H-Pick, 32.54 million won for Premium, and 35.12 million won for Inspiration, based on an individual consumption tax of 3.5%, with tax benefits applied for the hybrid model.

A Hyundai official stated, “The 2025 Kona, with the addition of the reasonably configured H-Pick trim with essential features and expanded convenience features, enhances overall product competitiveness. We hope many customers experience the strengthened product features and reasonable pricing of the 2025 Kona.”
