Genesis GV70 has returned in a new look after 3 years and 4 months. Genesis announced the release of the partially modified model of the midsize sports utility vehicle (SUV) GV70 on the 8th.
The newly revealed GV70 is a partially modified model that Genesis has presented after about 3 years and 4 months, refined with a more sophisticated design based on Genesis’s design philosophy of ‘dynamic elegance’ and enhanced product competitiveness.
A Genesis official introduced the GV70 as “one of Genesis’s most popular core models, where you can feel a stylish moment throughout all the moments you share,” and stated, “Through this partial change, it will become a luxury SUV that will be loved by even more customers.”
GV70 features an advanced design philosophy based on Genesis, adding luxurious details to the interior and exterior design, enhanced driving sensibility with smoother ride comfort and improved quietness, and emotional convenience specifications that provide a comfortable traveling experience.
On the front end, the Crest Grille of the GV70 was elaborately refined into a double-mesh structure. By applying MLA technology to the Genesis symbolic design, the advanced technology and elegant design were harmonized. The front bumper features a skid plate that gives a robust feeling and expanded horizontal air ducts. The side is equipped with newly designed 19-inch Dark Hyper Silver wheels, adding sophistication.
The interior of the GV70 evolves into a space that presents a more luxurious experience by inheriting the Korean ‘beauty of emptiness’ and a unique interior theme centered around oval elements with added high-tech sensibility. It features a 27-inch integrated wide display that combines the instrument panel and central screen, touch-operable air conditioning controls, and a crystal-design Shift By Wire (SBW) dial.
Genesis equips the GV70 with an Auto Terrain Mode that automatically selects the optimal driving mode by judging the road surface conditions in real-time. The hydro bushing applied to the front suspension is also added to the rear suspension to improve ride comfort. By optimizing the steering, stable handling is made possible. It also comes with a standard application of a 4P monoblock caliper and optimized brake feel to provide stable braking performance.
Genesis operates the GV70 with two engine lineups, the 2.5 Turbo Gasoline and 3.5 Turbo Gasoline, and broadens customer choice by adding a 2WD model to the 3.5 Turbo Gasoline engine, which was previously only operated as an AWD model, allowing selection of 2WD and AWD models in all engine lineups. They also offer the ‘GV70 Sports Package’ to maximize the sporty image.
The selling price of the GV70 partially modified model is as follows: Normal model – 2.5 Turbo Gasoline 53.8 million won, 3.5 Turbo Gasoline 59.3 million won. Sports package model – 2.5 Turbo Gasoline 56.95 million won, 3.5 Turbo Gasoline 62.65 million won.
