Yes, the scorching heat continues today as well.
Tropical nights persisted in most regions overnight.
In particular, Gangneung has been experiencing tropical nights for 13 consecutive days, and Jeju for 17 consecutive days.
The intense heat continues throughout the country during the daytime, leading to an expansion and strengthening of heat wave advisories nationwide.
As for the current advisory status, Taebaek, which was the only region excluded from the heat wave advisory, has been downgraded to a heat alert as of 10 a.m. today.
Heat wave advisories are in effect across the entire country.
Despite the blistering heat, the daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees Celsius in Seoul, and 36 degrees in Gangneung and Daegu, making it as hot as yesterday.
Although the sky is cloudy in central regions, there will be light rain of about 5-10mm in Eastern and Western Gyeonggi Province until the afternoon.
The southern regions will mostly remain clear.
Tomorrow, rain is forecasted in various parts of the central region, while there will be passing showers in the afternoon amidst high temperatures in the southern region.
