On the morning of the 18th, the eastern coastal region of Gyeongbuk experienced the coldest weather of this winter, with temperatures dropping below freezing. The Korea Meteorological Administration has issued a preliminary heavy snow warning for Uljin, predicting that Yeongdeok and Uljin might receive 3-10 cm of snow, while Pohang and Gyeongju might see 1-5 cm by the 19th.
An official from the Daegu Regional Meteorological Office stated that this cold spell will continue until the 20th and urged the public to take special care of their health and property.
