The area around Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul was dyed purple.

The ‘2024 Fiesta’ to celebrate BTS’s birthday and 11th debut anniversary with fans was held.

Hours before the event started, a long line formed all the way to the nearby subway station.

Despite the scorching heat of over 30 degrees, fans were filled with excitement.

[Yu Hee-sung/Jo Hyun-seo / BTS fan ‘Army’: Because we’re ARMY, of course we had to come. We can’t miss BTS’s birthday.]

As proof of BTS’s popularity, fans from all over the world including the US, Europe, Japan, and Indonesia gathered at the venue.

There were also fans from Brazil who took 30 hours to arrive in Korea for the festival.

[Alline Nogueira / BTS fan ‘ARMY’: My life completely changed after getting to know BTS. I really want to convey this message to the members. Come to Brazil!]

Fans enjoyed various events at the scene such as taking photos, writing letters to BTS members.

Tourists also joined the festival, pausing their travels to participate.

[Mirai / Tourist: I came to Korea for travel and happened to come here because the event was being held. It seems much more organized than the US.]

The oldest member Jin completed his military service the day before and discharged, making BTS’s 11th birthday even more meaningful.

[Jo Marcelo/Kirene Phil / BTS fan ‘Army’: I cried a lot watching Jin’s discharge from the military at the hotel. They were happy tears. I think the countdown for the ‘full return’ has begun.]

In response, Jin expressed gratitude to the fans right after his discharge.

[Jin/BTS: To all the ARMY who waited for me, thank you the most and I love you. I will express my feelings to you all.]

He held an event where he personally hugged 1,000 fans and plans to start full-fledged activities with a solo album by the end of this year.

Fans are now looking forward to the full return coming in just one year.
