The New Audi RS 3 with Advanced Design and Enhanced Specifications
Audi Korea, led by President Steve Clotie, announced on the 1st the official domestic launch of the facelifted model of their ultra-high-performance compact sedan, ‘The New Audi RS 3’, incorporating the brand’s motorsport DNA and state-of-the-art technology.
The ‘RS’ in Audi RS models stands for ‘RennSport’ (Racing Sport), symbolizing Audi’s dedication to racing, its spirit of innovation, and motorsport DNA.
Produced by Audi Sport GmbH, the RS lineup represents the peak of the brand’s high-performance range, and among them, the New Audi RS 3 best showcases the pure RS identity within the compact segment. The facelifted model boasts overwhelming performance, everyday practicality, and a uniquely Audi elegant yet dynamic design, earning it the title of a “genuine daily sports car.”
The New Audi RS 3 is equipped with a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder gasoline direct injection turbocharged (TFSI) engine and a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission, delivering powerful performance with a maximum output of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 50.99 kg·m. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km/h (limited for safety). Fuel consumption is rated at 8.9 km/l combined (7.7 km/l in the city, 11.1 km/l on the highway). Audi’s iconic quattro all-wheel-drive system is included, providing precise and dynamic driving experiences on any road and in any driving condition.
The New Audi RS 3 is completed by adding the intense design elements unique to the RS lineup to the balanced proportions of the A3 sedan. The charisma of the RS is embodied by features like the black modern grille, 2D Audi logo, black air intakes, and black package. Carbon side mirrors and new design elements maximize sporty feel and performance identity. The newly launched ‘RS 3 Carbon Edition’ utilizes carbon fiber materials in features such as air intake and engine cover to enhance both lightweight and aerodynamic efficiency, adding its unique presence. The dark-tone matrix LED headlights and LED tail lights with dynamic turn signals symbolize Audi’s innovative lighting technology, offering wide vision and safety.
Inside, the car features an RS design package with red Dinamica side trim, red air vent strips, and carbon atlas inlays for a bold and sophisticated atmosphere. The RS sports seats, made with Nappa leather and red stitching in a honeycomb pattern, create a driver-focused design for an immersive driving experience.
The New Audi RS 3 comes with a range of advanced safety and convenience features as standard, delivering outstanding convenience and safety in everyday life. It includes a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit plus, MMI navigation plus (with touchscreen), and Audi smartphone interface.
Additionally, the SONOS 3D premium sound system (16-channel, 15-speaker, 680-watt output) enhances the joy of driving with vivid sound. Other features such as a 3-zone automatic air conditioning system, power-folding and heated anti-glare side mirrors, and Audi drive select further enhance the safety and convenience of everyday driving.
The New Audi RS 3 is priced at 77,200,000 KRW, and the RS 3 Carbon Edition is priced at 82,110,000 KRW (including VAT, based on individual consumption tax of 3.5%).
