“Afternoon heavy rain in the south, clear skies in the central region [Weather]”

Currently, the rain clouds are hovering over the Yeongnam region. There’s also rain in some parts of Honam and Jeju. While the rain isn’t particularly heavy right now, strong rains of 10 to 30 mm per hour accompanied by gusts and lightning are expected in Gyeongnam and Jeju until the afternoon.

Today, rain will continue mainly in the southern regions. By the evening, Honam and Gyeongnam will receive up to 60 mm, while Daegu and Gyeongbuk will see between 5 and 40 mm of rain. Rain will persist in the Gangwon East Coast and Jeju until the afternoon, while it will cease in mid and southern Gangwon and Chungcheong in the morning.

Regions in the metropolitan area that are not experiencing rain will generally be clear with occasional clouds. As the rain clouds clear in the metropolitan and Yeongseo areas, the noon temperature will rise, making it hot and humid. Seoul will start at a somewhat cool 22 degrees in the morning but will rise to around 32 degrees at its peak during the day. The southern regions will also continue to experience hot weather, with heat wave warnings in effect. The highest perceived midday temperature will reach around 33 degrees, making it very warm.

Here’s a look at the detailed midday temperatures. Seoul is expected to reach 32 degrees, Daejeon 30 degrees, and Daegu and Busan 32 degrees. Suwon will be 31 degrees, Mokpo 31 degrees, and Changwon 32 degrees. Showers will occur frequently for the time being. There’s rain forecasted for parts of the central region by Thursday morning.

This was the weather update.
