A book compiling the diaries of the late actress Kim Soo-mi has been published.
The publishing company Brave Magpie announced today (12th) the release of a collection of Kim Soo-mi’s diaries titled ‘I Appeal to All That Kills Me.’
The bereaved family noted that Kim Soo-mi had expressed fear of the impact on her family after the book’s publication, but she gained courage after embracing her faith. She wished to share the philosophy of her life with those contemplating suicide and with young people, noting her current age and position. Her intentions were left in a notebook.
The family also mentioned that, having witnessed Kim Soo-mi’s suffering in her later years, they decided to reveal the diaries out of a sense of sorrow. They further stated that all proceeds from the book would be donated.
Kim Soo-mi passed away suddenly on October 25 due to a chronic illness, and today marks her 49th memorial day.
Meanwhile, her final film ‘Ghost Police’ is set to be released in January next year.
