Hyundai Motor announced on the 27th that the ‘Longest Run 2024’ campaign, which has been running for a month from April 26th to the 25th of this month, has been successfully completed. The Longest Run is an eco-friendly campaign that Hyundai Motor has been conducting since 2016, connecting online and offline to raise awareness of fine dust and promote a clean sky.
This year, over 19,000 participants ran a total of 400,000 kilometers as part of the campaign. They participated in missions such as the ‘Tree Badge Challenge,’ where they completed two running missions through the running and walking coaching application ‘RunDay,’ and the ‘Cooperative Challenge,’ where all participants collectively ran 81,000 kilometers to symbolize running together for cleaner skies.
The offline marathon event marking the end of the campaign, the ‘Final Run,’ saw 5,000 participants run a 10km course round trip from Yeouido Park in Seoul to Seogangdaegyo Bridge.
Hyundai Motor plans to deliver a total of 3,000 trees accumulated through achieving the Cooperative Challenge (1,000 trees) and purchasing 10,000 won donation tickets (2,000 trees) to the Ioniq Forest. Jung Yuseok, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor’s Domestic Business Division, stated, “We plan to continue showcasing eco-friendly activities for a sustainable future with more customers in the future.”
