The wife of the late former soccer player Kang Ji-yong, Lee Da-eun, has posted a poignant message on social media, drawing attention. This follows her previous revelation on the 2nd of a conversation with her mother-in-law, which also garnered interest.
On the 5th, Lee Da-eun shared on her social media, “Every single day, I feel anger towards Ji-yong, yet I miss him; I curse him out, yet I say I love him, and I just want to hold him tightly,” and continued, “The realistic me denies reality. Will it get better? It should, right? Will I be able to live? I don’t know. It’s hard not to say, ‘It will pass,’ so I get angry and rash because of things I don’t know.”
Previously, on the 2nd, she had disclosed a financial-related conversation with her mother-in-law, drawing attention by mentioning, “Stop spreading false rumors. And you promised to send the records you sent to Ji-yong, why haven’t you?” In the publicly disclosed conversation, the mother-in-law claimed, “Ji-yong stood as a guarantor without his parents’ knowledge before meeting you, and he took far more money with him.” However, Lee Da-eun strongly refuted these claims, stating, “None of what you said is true.”
Kang Ji-yong passed away on the 22nd of last month, though the cause of death has not been disclosed. In February, he appeared with his wife on JTBC’s “Divorce Consideration Camp,” where they worked through financial conflicts to repair their relationship. Born in 1989, Kang Ji-yong played for various professional soccer teams, such as Pohang Steelers, Busan IPark, and Bucheon FC, before retiring in 2022.
