Actress Son Ye-jin has deleted her secondary social media account, which had been a topic of interest. On the morning of the 27th, visitors to the account were greeted with a message stating, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” It seems the account has been closed.
Son Ye-jin launched the secondary account in June, where she shared personal moments like parenting and quirky selfies, which she had not revealed before. The account ID was “yejinfoot_official,” cleverly incorporating her surname “Son” to create “Yejinfoot.”
Previously, her main account followed only this secondary account, but with its closure, the number of accounts her main account follows has now reduced to zero. This led to speculation that she might have deleted the account in response to public criticism following the “child actor neglect” controversy.
Recently, during a press conference for the movie “Inevitable” with director Park Chan-wook, where Son Ye-jin starred alongside Lee Byung-hun as a couple, their interview attracted attention. In the movie, Son Ye-jin plays a mother for the first time since having her son in 2022. She commented that being with her child felt natural and that she wanted to depict the warmth of a caring mother seriously.
However, Lee Byung-hun humorously shared that on set, when a young child actor asked questions, Son Ye-jin did not answer, saying she needed to stay in character, thus sparking the “child actor neglect” controversy.
In response, the mother of the child actor Choi So-yul clarified the situation, stating it was a playful anecdote and that Son Ye-jin was kind. A past post from December, where Son Ye-jin sent a gift to a child actor, also resurfaced, portraying her in a positive light and helping quell the controversy. The mother had praised Son Ye-jin for her thoughtful gesture during Christmas.
