Song Ji-ah, who turned down JYP, has celebrity-level beauty… Park Yeon-soo: “Why choose a difficult path?”

Actress Park Yeon-soo (46) expressed her deep affection towards her daughter, Song Ji-a (18). On the 18th, Park Yeon-soo shared a fashion brand photo shoot of Song Ji-a from three years ago on social media. In the photos, Song Ji-a displayed a youthful charm by modeling various outfits.

Park Yeon-soo wrote, “On the day when I was having so much fun swapping dozens of outfits, Ji-a said, ‘Golf is 100 times easier and more fun.’ That day, I realized that my daughter truly loves golf.”

She continued, “Whenever her golf scores didn’t come through and agencies reached out, I wondered why she chose this difficult path over an easier one. It’s been six years of you becoming calmer… there’s still a long way to go, but I acknowledge your love for golf.”

Previously, Song Ji-a revealed on a broadcast in 2019 that she had received a love call from JYP Entertainment. At that time, Song Ji-a mentioned, “I wanted to join the agency but felt I wouldn’t be able to practice, so I chose golf.”

Song Ji-a recently achieved the status of a registered member with the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) last month. To gain this membership, one must be a South Korean citizen, pass the membership selection tournament or meet the special entry qualifications, complete designated education, and pass an assessment.

Song Ji-a is the daughter of former soccer player Song Jong-gook and Park Yeon-soo. Park Yeon-soo, who debuted under her stage name Park Ipsyun in 2001, married Song Jong-gook in 2006 but the couple divorced in 2015. Park Yeon-soo is raising her children, daughter Song Ji-a and son Song Ji-wook, on her own after the divorce.
