The members of the group LeSeraphim are shedding tears, leading to mixed reactions from the public. LeSeraphim released a five-part documentary video titled “Make It Easy” through their official YouTube channel on July 29 as part of their promotion leading up to their comeback. The video captured the members endlessly practicing to stand on various domestic and international stages, showing their nervousness and worries. In personal interviews, the members expressed their desires to improve and receive compliments for doing well. They also shared their feelings of pressure and fear of public scrutiny, revealing symptoms of hyperventilation due to stress during rehearsals and practices.
Last year, after the activities of “Unforgiven” ended, member Sakura shed tears during vocal training, saying, “It’s too scary. It’s just so scary to make a sound in front of people.” Huh Yoon-jin mentioned feeling pressured to always watch others’ reactions, including the public and those in the industry, and shared moments from interviews where criticisms arose, such as “Even after causing controversy at Coachella, now suddenly showing sentimental sides” and questioning whether there are idols who do not put in effort in singing. Furthermore, criticisms surfaced regarding Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s advice to write a song without caring about the company or public opinion, with some questioning, “Are you telling a public figure not to care about public opinion as a singer?” Some even suggested that this video, created for their comeback promotion, might make their agency look bad.
While negative feedback dominated, there were also voices of support. Some urged restraint against solely criticizing based on brief clips, highlighting that the video demonstrates how LeSeraphim is becoming stronger and gaining strength through these processes. In the video, Sakura and Kim Chaewon mentioned that they believe supporters watch them not just to see their successes but also how they endure and strive through difficulties, showing their determination not to give up and continue working hard.
LeSeraphim is gearing up for a comeback this month. As they return after overcoming many challenges, all eyes are on how they will present themselves to the public.
