Park Jimin, Breaks Up Two Months After Public Relationship “Cut Ties as Soon as I Saw the Cheating, No Regrets”

[Sports Chosun Reporter Kim So-hee] Singer Jamie (real name Park Jimin) shared her candid thoughts on her past experience of publicly dating and breaking up.

On the 19th, a video titled “Vocalist who was K-pop Star winner Park Jimin [Drunk Chat with Bearded Men] EP.151” was released on the YouTube channel ‘Danny Cho.’

In the video, Jamie was asked, “What memory would you like to erase from the internet?” to which she carefully replied, “I once engaged in a public relationship.”

She went on to explain why she decided to go public with her relationship at the time, saying, “Since I was in my 20s, I wanted to have a public relationship. I was always hiding and only dating at home. But after leaving the company and gaining freedom, being in my fiery 20s, I went public with it.” However, she honestly confessed, “But nothing remained, and everything just went up in flames. Looking back, I regret it.”

She also addressed the reason for her breakup. She mentioned, “I was often asked whether it was true,” and admitted, “Discussing it was a moment of embarrassment. I should have just said we broke up coolly, but I explained in a long-winded way, saying, ‘We broke up because of this, and I hope you XXX,’ which felt uncool.”

Furthermore, she added, “If I could go back, I wouldn’t make the relationship public,” expressing her regret over her past decision.

Jamie also mentioned, “I have no regrets. As soon as I saw the infidelity (of my partner), I ‘cut’ it off,” reflecting on her firm reaction at the time.

Meanwhile, Jamie and Goo Min-chul acknowledged their public relationship in November 2022. However, the breakup became known when Jamie posted about her partner’s infidelity on social media in 2023. At the time, Jamie drew attention by posting in English, “When you find out your boyfriend is a player,” and “Did you have fun with 4~5 other girls?”

Jamie’s ex-boyfriend Goo Min-chul gained recognition through Channel A’s entertainment show ‘Steel Troops 2.’
