(Seoul = News1) Reporter Yoon Hyo-jung = Actress Park Bo-young expressed that she felt the warm heart of director Kim Hee-won.
The production presentation for the new Disney+ drama “Light Shop” (written by Kang Full/directed by Kim Hee-won) was held at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd at the COEX Convention Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Kim Hee-won, who transitioned from acting to directing, commented, “I had a lot of concerns. I thought about how viewers would find it refreshing and how to move their emotions.”
Writer Kang Full explained the differences, saying, “There are many characters, and I delved deeper into them. There were parts I couldn’t express in illustrations due to the limitations of my talent, but thanks to the actors and directors, I was able to express them in the drama. I think original fans will be quite satisfied as well.”
Actor Joo Ji-hoon shared regarding his working dynamics with director Kim Hee-won, “Sometimes obvious things don’t happen as expected, but working with senior Kim Hee-won and director Kim Hee-won throughout the pre-production stage, seeing things proceed exactly as we discussed beforehand, I wondered if there could be a better set as an actor.”
Park Bo-young mentioned, “When acting and the blocking got complicated, he would try everything himself and then give us advice. I was surprised by that. He would always call on my way home, asking ‘How was it?’ and ‘Are you okay?’ It was warm and detailed.”
To this, Joo Ji-hoon responded with humor, “I didn’t receive a single call,” eliciting laughter.
“Light Shop” is a story about people on the edge of life and death who visit the only place that lights up the end of a dark alley, the “Light Shop.” The series stars Joo Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Kim Seol-hyun, Bae Seong-woo, Eom Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, Park Hyuk-kwon, Kim Dae-myung, Shin Eun-soo, Kim Seon-hwa, and Kim Ki-hae.
The eight-episode series “Light Shop” will release four episodes on December 4th and will continue to be released over two weeks.
