[OSEN=Park Geun-hee] Comedian Park Mi-seon revealed the lymph node metastasis for the first time on the show ‘You Quiz on the Block.’
On the afternoon of the 12th, tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ featured Park Mi-seon, who returned in good health after a 10-month hiatus.
Park Mi-seon disclosed that her breast cancer was discovered through a regular check-up. She explained, “The treatment period was long, and it was discovered during a comprehensive check-up.” She further elaborated, “In February, the breast ultrasound was fine, but in December, I almost skipped the comprehensive check-up, but did it anyway, and they found something suspicious which turned out to be breast cancer.”
Immediately after the diagnosis, she showed her passion for work, thinking, “I should quickly have the surgery, go to filming, and then get radiation treatment.” The surgery was conducted on Christmas Eve.
During the surgery, an unexpectedly shocking fact was discovered. Park Mi-seon admitted for the first time, “When they opened me up, they found that it had spread to the lymph nodes.”
Another major crisis occurred during the chemotherapy. Park Mi-seon explained, “After the 4th of 8 chemotherapy sessions, I got pneumonia,” indicating she overcame a life-threatening situation.
After a long and painful struggle, Park Mi-seon confessed she has adopted a calm attitude towards cancer. She acknowledged, “I have a type of breast cancer that has no complete cure,” yet she mentioned, “I just accept it, and if it comes back, I’ll get treatment again. I’m living with that mindset,” expressing her strong determination to coexist with cancer.
