Actor Choi Yeo-jin expressed her distress about the rumors surrounding her and her fiancé, which were highlighted in the preview of the upcoming episode of SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny,” aired on the 24th. In the preview, Choi appeared with her fiancé, Kim Jae-wook, and remarked, “I’ve been broadcasting for 20 years, but it feels strange. I’m introducing formally for the first time. I’m going to marry this man.”
In the subsequent video, Choi casually said, “When spring comes, we should get married,” to which her fiancé replied, “Thank you so much, but I’m so sorry. I hate that you get misunderstood because of me.” The video also featured Choi having a phone conversation with an acquaintance who expressed frustration over the rumors. After the call, Choi was seen shedding tears.
Choi opened up, saying, “Since starting my relationship with him, there have been negative comments and stories online. It’s been difficult in many ways.” The preview also showed a scene where Choi happily received a proposal from her fiancé at a ski resort.
Previously, in August last year, Choi appeared on SBS’s “Shoes Off, Solitary Man” and revealed she was dating a sports businessman, 7 years her senior. She mentioned, “He’s had one marriage before and is involved in seasonal sports business. We met while exercising and have been like friends for a long time. He’s the exact opposite of my ideal type. He’s my tall uncle.”
Notably, Choi previously stirred controversy when she appeared on tvN’s “On & Off” in 2020 with Kim and his then-wife, before their divorce. At the time, Choi said she would spend five days a week at their home in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, assisting them. On the show, she referred to Kim and his then-wife as parental figures while having meals prepared by his ex-wife, and Kim described Choi as someone who “helps a lot” and is like “a family member.”
