On the 21st, a video titled “Actor Lee Jang-woo, whose weight keeps fluctuating, goes to the market with Hibab… How much can they eat together…” was uploaded on Hibab’s YouTube channel.
Lee Jang-woo, an ambassador for the Kyungdong Market, met Hibab at the market that day and exchanged greetings warmly. Hibab noticed Lee Jang-woo’s chubbier appearance and mentioned, “I heard your weight has returned to its original state again these days.” Lee Jang-woo responded, “I just can’t maintain it. How do you manage to maintain it?” and lamented, “I exercise too, but I can’t lose weight.” Hibab laughed and pointed out, “I think you eat more than that.”
Later, the two went to the youth mall at Kyungdong Market and ordered all the menu items. As they started eating, Hibab advised Lee Jang-woo, “Eat at your own pace. You’ll get indigestion if you try to keep up with me,” to which Lee Jang-woo replied, “I’ve eaten with you more than a few times, but I can never keep up. Lee Jang-woo and Hibab dove into dishes like salmon rice bowl, pork cutlet, black bean noodles, spicy rice cakes, gimbap, beef kimchi stew, and spicy seafood noodle soup. As Lee Jang-woo’s chopstick movements grew slower while Hibab continued without stopping, he marveled, “I really can’t keep up with you.”
Recently having gained weight again, Hibab asked Lee Jang-woo, “How much weight did you lose, and how much did you gain back?” Lee Jang-woo replied, “I went down to 85 kg, but a week ago I was 96 kg. I might be back in the triple digits now,” and laughed. Amazed, Hibab noted, “You gained over 3 kg in a week?” Lee Jang-woo revealed, “My weight can fluctuate by 5 kg in a day.”
Meanwhile, when Lee Jang-woo mentioned plans to open a curry shop and a seafood porridge shop in Aewol, Jeju Island, Hibab asked, “Is your dream to own 100 stores eventually?” Lee Jang-woo explained, “I don’t aim for a certain number of stores but want to own ones that are recognized as good by people around me. I want many delicious restaurants, ones that make people think ‘This must have been hard to make.’ I also have thoughts of franchising.”
