Influencer Lee Hee-chul has suddenly passed away. On the 7th, Pungja posted a message on his personal Instagram Story, stating, “Even as I write this, it’s hard to believe, but for those who loved oppa and for acquaintances who have not yet heard the news, I am leaving this message. Our beloved Seoul Salon’s Lee Hee-chul oppa has become a star in the sky today.”
He continued, “Please pray he finds a good place to rest. It was so sudden, and there are still many acquaintances we haven’t been able to contact. If you message me, I will inform you about the funeral arrangements,” conveying the heartbreaking news.
Known as Pungja’s close friend and having gained recognition through various broadcasts, Lee Hee-chul was an influencer, CEO in the food industry, photographer, and visual director. In 2023, he joined KBS2TV’s ‘Men Who Do Housework Season 2′, catching viewers’ attention.
At the time, he showcased an array of cosmetics and boasted, “I’m called Apgujeong Go Yoon-jung because I apply them like this. Elegant and sophisticated, similar to me,” and confessed, “It was really tough during COVID-19. I’ve been running my business in Apgujeong for nine years, and all the nearby shops closed. I managed to endure thanks to Pungja.”
However, it seems he recently faced difficulties privately. At the start of the new year, he posted on his SNS, “It felt unbearably tough in the challenging year of 2024… Health-wise and mentally, it was truly a hard year for me. Knowing that pain leads to learning and growth, I humbly believe I will overcome it well and will be grateful and send it off sincerely.”
Nonetheless, Lee Hee-chul left a positive message, “I was grateful even for this! The difficulties of 2024 will be a healthy foundation for me! In the new year of 2025, I hope we all stay healthier! I wish for a year full of gratitude in maintaining a flexible life,” but ultimately, he became a star in the sky.
