Actor Kim Soo-hyun’s past revelation about his “marriage plans” is being revisited. This comes as new allegations emerge suggesting that he was in a relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, who was 12 years younger than him and passed away last month. On the 10th, an online community reposted Kim Soo-hyun’s comments from April 2013 during the showcase for the movie “Secretly, Greatly,” where he said, “I had planned my life at 24 and thought about getting married between 36 and 37, but now I think I can’t keep that.”
This statement has gained attention again as dating rumors between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron have resurfaced. Kim Sae-ron’s aunt, referred to as A, claimed in an interview with “Garo Sero Research Institute” on the 10th that Kim Sae-ron dated Kim Soo-hyun from 2014 for six years. At the time, Kim Sae-ron was 15, and Kim Soo-hyun was 27.
A also stated that Kim Sae-ron left YG Entertainment in 2020 at Kim Soo-hyun’s suggestion and moved to Gold Medalist, a new agency established with Kim Soo-hyun and his cousin, Lee Rove. A claimed that when Kim Sae-ron was involved in a drunk driving accident in May 2022, she did not receive adequate protection from Kim Soo-hyun and the agency, stating, “She faced a damage claim of 20 billion won, but the agency accepted the claim without proper investigation.”
A continued, “Sae-ron tried to contact people around her to pay off the debt, but no one, including Kim Soo-hyun and his fellow agency actors, responded. Even the actors she was close with cut contact,” explaining that this led Sae-ron to post photos with Kim Soo-hyun on social media.
Gold Medalist, however, denied all allegations, including the dating rumors, stating that they plan to examine the strongest possible legal action against the spread of false information.
