(Seoul=News1) Reporter Sobom = Singer Jung Joon-young (35), who was released after being sentenced to prison for group sexual assault and illegal filming, is being criticized for mocking a woman he sexually assaulted in the past.
On the 19th, the YouTube channel ‘BBC News Korea’ revealed messages exchanged among members of the so-called ‘Jung Joon-young chatroom,’ including Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon, regarding the Burning Sun incident in March 2016.
At the time, Jung Joon-young and Choi Jong-hoon raped a woman, A, at a hotel near the fan signing event in Daegu. Several others, including members of the chatroom, were present at the scene.
In particular, the victim, woman A, lost consciousness after falling and hitting her head, but they enjoyed the situation as if it were a game without any sense of guilt.
In the chatroom, when Kwon said, “Did you taste XX in Daegu yesterday?”, Jung Joon-young replied by sending a voice file saying, “Hyung XX flashed and got caught. Why did you flash there? Ah, XX was funny,” mocking the situation.

Park said, “I was really scared thinking that the girl suffered a concussion yesterday. There was a sound of her head bone breaking when she fell. I was surprised with Jun-young hyung and XX,” Jung Joon-young replied, “It was the most fun night of my life” and sent a laughing emoticon.
SBS reporter Kang Kyung-yoon, who covered the incident, claimed, “The majority of the fans are women, right? The real faces of those people who were packaged in a gentle image have been revealed. But those faces were not modest or ordinary, but too grotesque.”
She further expressed shock, saying, “They toyed with women as if they were toys, disempowered and insulted those women. They boasted and laughed as if those women were trophies.”
In addition, reporter Kang mentioned that Jung Joon-young openly shared a multitude of photos of sexual videos and unconscious women in the chatroom.
Netizens who watched the BBC News video are expressing outrage, saying, “It’s really impressive that he’s already been released,” “It’s outrageous that such scum didn’t receive a life sentence,” “He’s truly a psychopath,” “It’s disgusting before a fan signing event,” and more.
