In front of an elementary school in Daejeon, flowers and photos paying tribute to Kim Haneul, who was killed by a teacher wielding a weapon, were placed at the school gate on the 12th. Among these were photos of Jang Won-young from the idol group IVE, whom Kim Haneul was known to like when she was alive. The father of the late Kim Haneul, who was killed by a teacher, expressed his wishes by saying that Haneul was a fan of the group IVE during her lifetime, and he requested Jang Won-young to visit the memorial.
Mr. A, Kim Haneul’s father, spoke to reporters on the 12th at Geonyang University Hospital in Daejeon, stating, “What I hope for is that something like what happened to Haneul never occurs again. If you are watching, I hope representatives from the group come to pay respects at the memorial and listen to what I have to say.”
He continued, “Haneul made me promise to send her if IVE held a concert in Daejeon. Her dream was Jang Won-young herself. If possible, and though they may be busy, I really hope they can come to see Haneul.”
