Im Joo-hwan: “Taking the subway and bus to my schedule”… It wasn’t just working at a logistics center.

Actor Lim Joo-hwan’s previous experience working at a logistics center has recently come to light, and his use of public transport for his daily schedule is being highlighted again. On the 27th, Lim Joo-hwan’s agency Basecamp Company confirmed, “It is true that Lim Joo-hwan worked at a logistics center last year.”

This revelation resurfaced due to posts on various online communities and SNS claiming sightings of him at a Coupang logistics center in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, back in August of last year. Moreover, stories Lim Joo-hwan shared on a broadcast last year are gaining attention again.

Lim Joo-hwan, after signing with a new agency established by actors Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung, appeared on tvN’s variety show ‘Handsome Guys’. During the opening, when the rule about paying for meals with a personal card was mentioned, Lim Joo-hwan jokingly pointed at Cha Tae-hyun, saying, “I came without worrying about quizzes because the company representative is here.” When Shin Seung-hwan questioned him saying, “What does that have to do with it if it’s on your personal card?”, Lim Joo-hwan replied, “You can charge all expenses to the company as per the contract. These are all expenses while working.”

Furthermore, Lim Joo-hwan explained how he came to join Cha Tae-hyun’s agency. He said, “I’ve known them for so long that it was done over the phone,” recounting, “Right after the news of them establishing the company with Jo In-sung hyung came out, they called me during my play rehearsal and said, ‘You saw the news? You’re included.’ I asked, ‘What about my opinion?’ to which they replied, ‘Do you have another place to go? Just do it,’ and then hung up.”

Cha Tae-hyun added, “In Joo-hwan’s case, he was only doing plays. We told him, ‘You won’t have to share any play profits with us, but there will be no support either.'” Lim Joo-hwan humorously remarked, “So, I take the subway and bus, using public transportation while I go do plays.”

Lim Joo-hwan ended his contract with Blossom Entertainment in 2024 and signed an exclusive contract with Cha Tae-hyun in August last year. His last project was the play ‘Pride’, which closed in June last year at Daehangno, and he is currently preparing for his next work.
