“Huh Gak, from ‘First Love♥’, has taken off his wedding ring and is now even living in separate rooms, ‘Separate rooms for 9 years'”

In the SBS variety show “Shoes Off, Single for Men” (hereafter “Single for Men”), singer Huh Gak reveals that he and his wife have been sleeping in separate rooms.

The episode, airing on the 17th, features Choi Jin-hyuk, Hong Seok-cheon, and Huh Gak, who join the Single for Men team, delivering explosive chemistry and humor.

During a recent recording, while discussing plans for the upcoming Christmas, the group shared their rather pitiful situation of having no plans, prompting Hong Seok-cheon, known as the “Prince of Itaewon,” to suggest, “Let’s all hang out in Itaewon,” and he even showcased an impromptu dance performance on the spot.

Upon hearing the news of Choi Jin-hyuk’s solo Asia tour, the Single for Men members jokingly complained, asking, “Why didn’t you take us with you?” When asked which one of them he would take if he had to choose, Choi Jin-hyuk reluctantly made a choice. The unselected trio, overwhelmed by jealousy, humorously suggested it meant Choi wanted them to carry his bag, turning the set into a sea of laughter.

Later, there was a fierce competition of appearances, pitting their pride against one another, led by Hong Seok-cheon, the self-proclaimed “handsome detective.” Despite being a guest, Huh Gak somehow found himself in the finals of the “Ugly Pebble” competition alongside Lim Won-hee, humorously admitting, “No matter how much I manage myself, I still don’t look like a celebrity,” making everyone burst into laughter. Lim Won-hee added to the humor by saying, “People still ask me for directions,” joining the self-deprecating remarks.

Additionally, the only married member, Huh Gak, confessed to sleeping in separate rooms for nine years. When asked by the Single for Men members, “Then why not just share the same room again?” Huh Gak appeared genuinely flustered, stammering and delivering an unexpected response that reportedly turned the set upside down.

Meanwhile, Huh Gak married his same-age first love in October 2013 after two years of dating, and they have two sons together. Last year, he made headlines by revealing he does not wear a wedding ring anymore. During his appearance on KBS Cool FM’s “Lee Eun-ji’s Gayo Plaza,” a listener noted that Huh Gak was not wearing his wedding ring. He explained, “Try being married for 10 years,” but also clarified, “Honestly, I gained weight, so the ring doesn’t fit.”
