This marks a significant increase of 631,000 viewers compared to the previous week, with the viewership rating rising by 3.6%, attributed to the effects of the state of emergency.
Following closely, the KBS1 daily drama ‘Let’s Get Married, Bullfrog,’ starring Park Hana and Park Sangnam, recorded 1,737,000 viewers and an 11% household rating, placing it second. However, the number of viewers decreased by 234,000 from the previous week, and the rating also dropped by 1.3%, indicating a slight decline. While the family drama’s warm message resonates with viewers, the influence of competing content has led to a slight decline in ratings. Nevertheless, it remains in the top ranks thanks to a consistent fan base.
JTBC’s ‘Newsroom’ secured third place with 1,228,000 viewers and a household rating of 6.34%, showing a significant increase of 463,000 viewers from the previous week. The viewership rating rose by 2.36%, interpreted as a result of its journalistic approach that deeply addresses major issues and provides clear analysis of recent social controversies, earning high trust from viewers. JTBC’s stable and high-quality news presentation continues to be an advantage in the competitive evening news market.
Meanwhile, KBS1’s long-standing program ‘Human Theater’ attracted 1,103,000 viewers with a household rating of 7.3%. This shows a decrease of 162,000 viewers and a 1.1% rating drop from the previous week, indicating a slight slowdown. However, its focus on touching human stories continues to be loved, maintaining a top position as it centers on family-oriented stories and the lives of ordinary people, sustaining its popularity.
KBS2’s ‘Cinderella Game,’ featuring Na Yonghee, Han Groo, Choi Sang, and Ji Soo Won, settled in the upper ranks with 1,099,000 viewers and a household rating of 6.7%. The detailed directing and the actors’ passionate performances draw viewers’ interest, suggesting an anticipated upward trend. The intense plot developments and the chemistry among the stellar cast are key factors garnering fans’ support.
One of the broadcasts that saw a significant increase in viewership is MBC’s ‘PD Notebook Special Edition,’ which attracted 1,061,000 viewers, drawing attention. The special, which focused on in-depth investigations and social issues, created a significant impact among viewers. Notably, its planning, reflecting current social interests, stood out, and its credible reporting method appears to have strengthened communication with the audience.
Additionally, tvN’s ‘Outside the Tent: Europe, Romantic Italy’ offered viewers a unique sentiment with the participation of Ra Mi-ran, Kwak Sun-young, Lee Joo-bin, and Lee Se-young. Although it recorded 863,000 viewers with a 3.45% rating, showing a decrease from the previous week, the beautiful landscapes of Italy and the lively chemistry among the cast are capturing fans’ hearts. The unique concept of combining travel and romance received positive feedback.
Another program that fans should note is MBC’s ‘Kind Sunju.’ Starring Sim Yi-young, Song Chang-eui, Choi Jung-yoon, and Jung Young-seob, it recorded 740,000 viewers with a 4.1% household rating, showing a slight increase from the previous week.
