“Discharged” Go Woo-rim, ♥ Kim Yuna’s affectionate reunion… “Healthy without any injuries”

[OSEN = Reporter Jang Woo-young] Go Woo-rim of the group Forestella shared his feelings after being discharged from the military. Having completed his 1 year and 6 months of service, Go Woo-rim expressed gratitude to his team members who steadfastly supported him and promised a bright future.

On the 21st, Go Woo-rim posted on social media, saying, “I am the returned civilian Go Woo-rim. Thanks to the interest and encouragement of everyone who cares about me, I was able to be discharged healthily without any injuries.”

Go Woo-rim said, “It seemed like May 2025 would never come, but now it’s suddenly here in front of me. There were moments of frustration and difficulty due to the lack of freedom, but I had my own time of introspection and learning during that process. Thanks to that, I look forward to a more mature future self.”

He continued, “I’ve encountered precious connections. Being used to being the youngest for a long time, I was clumsy in dealing with younger ones, but I tried being the eldest and nagging, and felt a different sense of responsibility. Experiencing the position of the eldest turned out to be more enjoyable than I thought. I sincerely thank the juniors and everyone who has passed by, who followed me well.”

Go Woo-rim added, “I am now getting ready to return to my original position and embark on a new start! I will greet you again with a deeper appearance. Have a joyful day today.”

Meanwhile, Go Woo-rim married the ‘figure skating queen’ Kim Yuna in 2022 after dating for about four years. After about a year of married life, he enlisted in November 2023 and was discharged on the 19th, completing his military duties. Following his discharge, he communicated with fans through an official live broadcast and will hold a solo fan meeting at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on June 7th and 8th.

Below is Go Woo-rim’s full statement on his discharge:

Discharge!

I am returned civilian Go Woo-rim.

Thanks to the interest and encouragement of everyone who cares about me, I was discharged healthily without any injuries. It seemed like May 2025 would never come, but now it’s suddenly here in front of me. There were moments of frustration and difficulty due to the lack of freedom, but I had my own time of introspection and learning during that process. Thanks to that, I look forward to a more mature future self. ^^

Also, I’ve encountered precious connections. Being used to being the youngest for a long time, I was clumsy in dealing with younger ones, but I tried being the eldest and nagging, and felt a different sense of responsibility. Experiencing the position of the eldest was more fun than I thought. I sincerely thank the juniors and everyone who has passed by, who followed me well.

And to my team members who steadfastly supported the team for 1 year and 6 months or even longer, I thank you sincerely. Finally, all members are now military experienced!
