On the 8th, Big Hit Music bowed its head through the fan community Weverse, saying, “We would like to provide additional comments regarding BTS member Suga. First of all, we deeply apologize once again for disappointing many people with the regrettable incident. We also apologize for causing confusion by hastily issuing a statement without thoroughly examining various circumstances.”

Regarding the use of terminology related to electric scooters, Big Hit Music explained, “We described the product used by the artist as a kickboard with a saddle as an ‘electric kickboard.’ Through additional verification, we realized that the classification and responsibility range may vary depending on the performance and specifications of the product. As some have pointed out, we had no intention of minimizing the incident.”

They further stated, “We apologize once again for not examining more closely and hasty statement. We will faithfully fulfill the responsibility according to the classification determined by the investigating agency in the future.”

Regarding the imposition of fines and license revocation, they said, “On the 6th, the artist responded to the police’s drunk driving test on the spot and was immediately sent home. We did not realize that there were remaining procedures for both the company and the artist in the event and incorrectly perceived that the matter had been concluded. We apologize for mistakenly conveying incorrect information due to internal communication errors considering the seriousness of the matter.”

Big Hit Music stated, “We sincerely apologize to both the artist and the company for not showing exemplary behavior during the period of fulfilling military duty and causing a regrettable incident. We also apologize sincerely to the disappointed fans.

On the night of the 6th, Suga was found by the police in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, drunk riding an electric scooter and falling alone. Suga is currently serving as a social service worker, and his date of discharge is scheduled for June 2025.
