Famous entertainment agency executive in his 50s, referred to as Mr. A, has been handed over to the prosecution on charges of sexually assaulting a woman who was intoxicated.
The Seoul Seocho Police Station announced on the 19th that Mr. A was forwarded to the prosecution without detention on charges of quasi-forcible sexual molestation and negligent injury.
Mr. A is accused of taking an intoxicated woman into his car and sexually assaulting her before abandoning her on the roadside in Gangnam District, Seoul, in August. The victim was discovered 1 hour and 30 minutes later after a pedestrian reported it. She was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage, skull fracture, and optic nerve damage, ultimately losing vision in her left eye.
The police requested a detention warrant against Mr. A twice, but it was dismissed on both occasions.
