Establishment of New AMEA Headquarters to Expand Region
SPC Group announced on the 3rd that it has restructured its global business organization to strengthen its overseas operations. The group has established a new AMEA (Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa) headquarters within the global structure of Paris Baguette to oversee operations. This headquarters will cover regions where the business is currently active, like Southeast Asia, and areas it plans to expand into, such as the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. Hana Lee, who previously oversaw Southeast Asia, will serve as the CEO, with Taehwan Moon as CFO.
This restructuring comes ahead of the completion of a baking plant in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, scheduled to commence operations early this year. The facility has been built to meet halal certification standards, enabling product supply to Islamic countries, including those in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Prior to this, last year, SPC Group had already implemented personnel changes in the Paris Baguette America headquarters, with Darren Tipton serving as CEO since 2021. Other appointees include Nick Scaccio as COO, Cathy Schabnett as CMO, Eric Gherkin as CSCO, Seyoung Park as CFO, and Michelle Zagreb as CHRO.
In the US, SPC Group is advancing plans to construct a local production plant in Burleson, Texas. The America headquarters aims to expand its business across the US, Canada, and the emerging Latin American market. Additionally, to facilitate communication with the domestic headquarters and expedite decision-making, a “Global Support Office” will be operated domestically. Ilwon Seo will serve as the head of this office.
An SPC Group representative stated that this organizational restructuring is intended to expand the responsibilities and authority of regional headquarters overseas, localize global operations, and enable the domestic headquarters to more effectively support international branches.
