“Expansion of Customer Base through Combination of Financial and Non-Financial Services”
On the 26th, a ‘Data-Driven Business Strategic Agreement Ceremony’ was held at the Shinhan Bank headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. [Herald Economy = Reporter Kang Seung-yeon] Shinhan Bank (President Jeong Sang-hyeok) announced on the 27th that it had signed a ‘Data-Driven Business Strategic Agreement’ with Shinhan Card (CEO Moon Dong-kwon), Lotte Department Store (CEO Jung Jun-ho), and Lotte Duty Free (CEO Kim Ju-nam) to provide differentiated customer services.
Through this agreement, Shinhan Bank and the three companies plan to collaborate on various fronts for mutual development by pursuing joint marketing to expand the customer base, enhancing business competitiveness based on data, discovering foreigner-specialized solutions, and utilizing domestic and overseas networks for cooperation.
A Shinhan Bank representative stated, “This strategic agreement is expected to utilize each company’s data, services, channels, and various expertise to strengthen competitiveness and broaden the customer base. We will continue to collaborate with different industries to create new customer experiences by combining ‘financial and non-financial services’.”
Meanwhile, in July, Shinhan Bank signed an agreement with CJ Freshway for BaaS-based (Banking as a Service) financial solutions linked to a food distribution platform. On the 20th of this month, they launched a BaaS-type supply chain finance ‘non-face-to-face sales loan service’ for selling companies on the Hyundai Steel distribution platform, continuing efforts to provide new financial solutions through collaboration with various industries.
