At the CES 2025 press conference, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, announced on the 7th (local time) that he is expected to meet with Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, at the world’s largest IT and electronics exhibition, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. As both were scheduled to attend the opening of CES in Las Vegas, USA, there had been speculation in the Korean business community regarding the possibility of their meeting, which Huang confirmed.
After a press conference at a hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, Huang responded to reporters’ questions about the meeting with Chairman Chey by saying, “I think I am going to,” and added that he is looking forward to it, though he did not disclose specific details.
SK Hynix and NVIDIA have been strengthening their cooperation around high-bandwidth memory (HBM) used in graphics processing units (GPUs). If the meeting between Chairman Chey and CEO Huang takes place, it will be their first public meeting in nine months since April of the previous year.
