**■ Regular Personnel Changes at Hyundai Department Store Group**
**Park Jang-seo Appointed as New CEO of Hyundai Duty-Free**
**Lee Jin-won to Lead Hyundai L&C**
Hyundai Department Store Group announced on the 31st a regular executive reshuffle which included promoting Jung Kyung-sun (pictured), CEO and Vice Chairman of Hyundai Home Shopping, to Chairman. In addition, the CEOs of four major affiliates were replaced. Although last year saw significant changes with the transition to a holding company structure and changes in the leadership of major affiliates like Hyundai Department Store and Hyundai Home Shopping, this year focuses on “stability amid change.”
The group stated that their “2025 Regular Executive Appointments” were made with this framework. The appointments include 29 promotions and 31 reassignments, totaling 60 personnel changes, similar in scale to previous years. A Hyundai Department Store Group representative explained, “The core theme of this regular executive reshuffle is the pursuit of change for future growth under a stable framework. Given last year’s replacements of major affiliate CEOs, this year’s decision to retain all current leaders considers the uncertain economic environment domestically and internationally. It aims to enhance competitive strength in core businesses during economic slowdowns and to concentrate on developing long-term business strategies.”
Jung Kyung-sun, who has been leading Hyundai Home Shopping as CEO since 2009 and was promoted to Vice Chairman in 2012, will now advance to Chairman of Hyundai Home Shopping for the first time in 14 years. At the group level, he will continue to serve as Vice Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, supporting Chairman Chung Ji-sun and leading overall group management based on a unified holding company structure. He also plans to focus on formulating and implementing long-term growth strategies for home shopping.
At Hyundai Duty-Free, Park Jang-seo, Head of Sales Division, is appointed as the new CEO. Park is an expert in the duty-free sector with 33 years of experience since 1992 in leading duty-free sales at major domestic duty-free shops. Lee Jin-won, Head of Food Service Division at Hyundai Green Food, is appointed as the new CEO of Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building materials company. For Zinus, a global mattress specialist, Jung Baek-jae, who currently leads Hyundai L&C, is appointed as CEO. For Hyundai Easywell, a welfare solutions company, Park Jong-seon, Head of Product Operations Division, is appointed as CEO.
