Hanwha Life Insurance announced on the 16th that it has obtained a nine-month exclusive usage right from the Korea Life Insurance Association for three new cancer special riders. The newly secured riders include the Cancer Test Cost Support Rider, the Insurance-covered Cancer Multidisciplinary Integrated Consultation Coverage Rider, and the General Hospital Insurance-covered Cancer Intensive Nutrition Therapy Coverage Rider. These are incorporated into the recently launched “Signature H Cancer Insurance.”
These riders offer substantial coverage throughout the entire process from cancer diagnosis to treatment and recovery. In the examination sector, the Cancer Test Cost Support Rider covers the costs of major tests such as CT, MRI, and PET scans, as well as other precise examinations like in vitro diagnostics multimer examination and stereotactic breast biopsies.
Given that cancer is a condition requiring frequent follow-up tests even after treatment, the aim is to address any potential coverage gaps in this area. During the treatment phase, the Insurance-covered Cancer Multidisciplinary Integrated Consultation Coverage Rider guarantees the industry’s first “multidisciplinary integrated consultation” where specialists from surgery, oncology, radiology, and other fields collaborate to propose the optimal treatment plan.
Additionally, the General Hospital Insurance-covered Cancer Intensive Nutrition Therapy Coverage Rider extends the coverage scope to include “intensive nutritional support therapy.” When receiving intensive nutritional therapy at a general hospital, funds for the first treatment will be provided.
