The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has begun the construction of a joint public-private logistics center at the Nhon Trach Industrial Complex, a key logistics hub in southern Vietnam. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 19 at the site in Dong Nai Province. The logistics center will cover an area of 55,553 square meters, equivalent to the size of 7.7 soccer fields, and will include two buildings with a total floor area of 26,168 square meters (3.6 soccer fields). The center is expected to become operational in May 2026.
The project is a public-private partnership supported by Korea Ocean Business Corporation’s “Global Logistics Supply Chain Fund,” aiding Lotte Global Logistics in establishing a joint logistics center in Vietnam. The site, Nhon Trach Industrial Complex, is strategically located near major Vietnamese cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang and is well-connected to key transportation networks such as the Cat Lai Port, Cai Mep Port, and Long Thanh International Airport. The logistics center will serve as a vital foothold for South Korean export and import enterprises in Vietnam.
Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, Kang Do-Hyun, highlighted Vietnam’s high economic growth rate and favorable trade environment, emphasizing that the logistics center will strongly support South Korean companies operating in Vietnam. He also expressed a commitment to continuously developing competitive logistics infrastructure for South Korean businesses.
Additionally, logistics centers near Secaucus, USA, and Elwood, Illinois, are set to be completed by August.
