An accident occurred at the Super Junior concert where the safety fence installed in the audience area collapsed, causing spectators to fall.
According to SM Entertainment today (6th), during the Super Junior 20th anniversary world tour concert “Super Show 10” held at the KSPO Dome (former Gymnastics Arena) in Songpa-gu, Seoul, the safety fence in the audience area collapsed, causing injuries to three spectators.
The accident occurred during the encore stage when member Ryeowook approached the audience to interact with fans, prompting spectators who reached out their hands to move towards the safety fence.
SM stated, “The injured were immediately taken to the hospital where they received necessary examinations and treatment,” adding, “The medical staff advised that they would need two weeks of rest and treatment for sprains and bruises. We deeply apologize to those affected by this accident and their families.”
The statement continued, “We will provide support for the injured spectators to recover completely and will make every effort until their full recovery. As the concert organizer, we feel a heavy responsibility for this accident and will ensure thorough safety inspections and management to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in the future.”
