“The reason for revealing the relationship with Kim Soo-hyun is…” Late Kim Sae-ron’s family clarifies position [On-site video]

The family of the late actor Kim Sae-ron filed a defamation complaint against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, who operates the YouTube channel ‘Celebrity President Lee Jin-ho,’ with the police today (17th). Bujiseok, a representative lawyer from the law firm Buyu, filed the complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the afternoon on behalf of Kim Sae-ron’s family. The charge is defamation by spreading false information.

Lee is alleged to have uploaded several videos about Kim Sae-ron on YouTube from the time of her DUI accident in 2022 until her death in February this year. The family alleges that a video claiming Kim Sae-ron staged a “self-made drama” by posting suggestive pictures on social media about dating actor Kim Soo-hyun is false.

Lawyer Bu stated, “Lee not only denied any relationship between the two but also spread false information that portrayed the deceased as a strange woman, causing severe mental anguish.” He added that further legal actions regarding other videos may follow.

The family felt compelled to disclose the relationship to prove the falsity of the claims and presented past photos, indicating they are considering legal action against Kim Soo-hyun.

The YouTube channel ‘Garosero Research Institute’ previously claimed in a call with Kim Sae-ron’s family that actor Kim Soo-hyun had dated Kim Sae-ron, who was 15 at the time, for six years starting in 2015, releasing photos and text message images as evidence. Initially, Kim Soo-hyun’s side denied the family’s claims but later admitted to dating her for about a year after she became an adult, denying any relationship during her minor years.
