The Constitutional Court will deliver a judgment on the impeachment trial of three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, and Chairman Choi Jae-hae of the Board of Audit and Inspection, at 10 a.m. on the 13th.
On the 11th, the Constitutional Court announced that the impeachment judgment for Prosecutor Lee, Cho Sang-won, the 4th Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Choi Jae-hoon, the head of the 2nd Anti-Corruption Investigation Division, and Chairman Choi would be delivered at 10 a.m. on the 13th.
The impeachment against them was filed with the Constitutional Court in December last year.
The National Assembly referred the three prosecutors for impeachment on grounds such as failing to properly investigate the Deutsche Motors case and announcing false information during a press briefing.
Chairman Choi was accused of conducting a deficient audit on the relocation of the presidential office and residence, and of carrying out a targeted audit against Jeon Hyun-hee, the former chairperson of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
