The labor authorities are launching a special labor inspection of a school corporation following complaints from multiple faculty members of workplace harassment.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced today that it has formed a special labor inspection team consisting of 12 personnel from the Gangwon Regional Employment and Labor Office to commence a special inspection of the Gangwon Academy.
Reported incidents of harassment include delivering lunch to the chairman’s residence, using annual leave for personal tasks of the chairman, and involving teachers in on-campus construction work, with 15 victims identified so far.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor emphasized that through this special inspection, they will verify any additional cases of victimization involving all faculty members and examine any violations of labor laws, promising strict action against any breaches.
