‘According to the steel industry on the 25th, the POSCO labor union conducted a vote on industrial action among its members from 6 AM to 5 PM. The final tally showed a 72.25% approval rate based on the registered members. If the POSCO union goes ahead with collective action, it will face a strike crisis for the first time in 56 years since its founding.’,
‘The POSCO union plans to hold a ceremony to commence industrial action at the Pohang Steelworks on the 2nd of next month, followed by the Gwangyang Steelworks on the 3rd. Separately, practical negotiations between the union and the management are reportedly ongoing. The union is demanding an 8.3% increase in basic pay, a 300% bonus and stock options, and exclusive benefits for union members.’,
